CRYSTAL CART
I was initially afraid to take on this project, but I am really glad I did. I learned a lot about decals and ways to remove them without damaging the label.
The requester asked to have the shell swapped, battery replaced, but to keep the original OEM label.
It took me a bit of time to research how to remove labels, but the answer ended up being lighter fluid of all things.
The shell was in bad condition and beyond my repair. Part of the rear housing was stuck between the screw and screwpost, and the front plate was bent, preventing it from being fully inserted into a handheld.
Swapping the shell is very simple on one of these, and the lighter fluid trick seemed to preserve the original label without damaging the ink, only loosening the adhesive allowing me to lift it from the damaged housing with a spudger.
Unfortunately The battery was dead, no monsters who live inside a gbc inside of your pocket could be revived.
I use a Joey Jr V2++ to dump and restore save files to and from original cartridges.
